Installation

Installation

Section titled “Installation”

macprefs is distributed via Homebrew for easy installation on macOS.

Prerequisites

Section titled “Prerequisites”
  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
  • Homebrew package manager

Install via Homebrew

Section titled “Install via Homebrew”
Terminal window
brew tap jmcombs/macprefs
brew install macprefs

Or as a single command:

brew install jmcombs/macprefs/macprefs

Verify Installation

Section titled “Verify Installation”

After installation, verify macprefs is working:

macprefs --version

You should see the version number displayed.
